2 : Slices Italian bread, cut

1/2 : Head escarole, cut crosswise

Directions

0: Preheat oven to 375 degrees

1: Mix sugars, margarine, vanilla, and egg in large bowl

2: Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff)

3: Stir in chocolate chips

4: Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfulls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet

5: Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until light brown (centers will be soft)

6: Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet

7: Cool on wire rack
