1 : Sponge Cake

1/4 : c Amaretto

1/4 : c Light rum

1 : /3 c Whipping cream

1/3 : c Powdered sugar

1/3 : c Almonds; blanched,

3 : oz Instant pudding mix

2 : Eggs

1 : /4 c Milk

1/4 : c Amaretto

1/4 : ts Nutmeg

2 : c All-purpose flour

1 : /2 ts Baking powder

1/2 : ts Baking soda

1/4 : ts Salt -

3/4 : c Butter or margarine

1 : /2 c Packed brown sugar

2 : Eggs

112 : c Buttermilk

1/4 : c Amaretto

1/3 : c Slivered almonds

Amaretto : Amaretto Butter Frosting

1/3 : c Amaretto

1 : tb Brown sugar

1 : qt Vanilla ice cream; softened

2 : Scoops vanilla ice cream

3/4 : oz Amaretto

1 : Maraschino cherry

Directions

0: Combine all ingredients for mix in a plastic bag

1: Add the dry yeast to bag and shake well

2: Stir water and molasses in a large bowl

3: Add margarine and let stand for 5 minutes

4: Sprinkle in the yeasted mix over this a little at a time mixing until a stiff dough forms

5: Knead 8 to 10 minutes adding more flour if necessary to make a pliable dough

6: Place dough in greased bowl, cover and let rise double in bulk in a warm place about 1 1/2 hours

7: Punch down and divide into two

8: Roll each piece into a 9 x 14 inch rectangle and roll up from short end to form a loaf

9: Tuck ends under and place in greased regular loaf pans

10: Let rise double in bulk

11: Bake in a 375 oven until rich brown about 50 minutes or tested done

12: Remove from pans and cool on rack
