0: In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon

1: Use two knives to cut margarine into a dry mixture until crumbly

2: Stir in oatbran, grated apple, and currants

3: In a measuring cup, whisk together 4 egg whites with milk

4: Mix egg mixture into oatbran mixture until moistened

5: Grease large cookie sheet and spread dough so that it is approximately 1 inch thick, 9 inches wide and 15 inches long

6: Score the dough into at least 18 squares

7: Bake at 375 deg F for 25-30 minutes

8: Best served warm with jam
