Ingredients

3 : 1/ c All-purpose flour; divided

1 : tb Baking powder

1/2 : ts Salt

3/4 : ts Ground nutmeg

1/4 : ts Ground cloves

1 : c Applesauce

3/4 : c Sugar

2 : Eggs

2 : tb Vegetable shortening

Vegetale : Vegetale oil

Directions

0: In large bowl, stir together first 8 ingredients; set aside

1: In medium bowl, mix milk, liqueur, butter, egg and egg yolk until well blended

2: Add milk mixture to dry ingredients; stir just until moistened

3: Pour batter into greased 8 1/2x 4 1/2x2 1/2" loaf pan

4: Bake in 350 degree oven 45 to 50 minutes, or until loaf is golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean

5: Cool in pan 10 minutes

6: Remove;cool on rack

7: Makes 1 loaf
