Ingredients

2 : c Flour

1 : tb Sugar

2 : ts Baking powder

1/2 : ts Baking soda

3/4 : ts Salt

1/4 : c Cold butter

1 : Egg

2/3 : c Buttermilk

Milk : Milk for brushing tops

Sugar : Sugar for sprinkling

3 : c Flour

1/3 : c Sugar

2 : 1/ ts Baking powder

1/2 : ts Baking soda

3/4 : ts Salt

12 : tb Butter

1 : c Buttermilk

3/4 : c Currants

1 : ts Grated orange rind

-(orange : -(orange part, or zest only)

Directions

0: Measure buttermilk, butter, sugar, salt, bread and wheat flour into baking pan

1: Tap container firmly to level out ingredients and sprinkle yeast in center

2: Insert pan securely into baking unit and close lid

3: Select BASIC WHITE BREAD setting

4: Press START

5: The COMPLETE light will flash when bread is done

6: Using hotpads, remove pan from unit and pull out kneading rod

7: Turn out onto cooling rack and cool before slicing

8: Makes 1 loaf
