2 : Green peppers, cut into thin

1/2 : cn Consomme, undiluted

1 : tb Cornstarch

2 : tb Water

2 : ts Soy Sauce

2 : Garlic cloves (pressed)

1 : Beef boullion cube

1 : cn Sliced water chestnuts

Directions

0: Preheat oven to 425øF

1: Butter 8 inch square baking dish

2: Mix first 7 ingredients in large bowl

3: Whisk remaining ingredients in another bowl to blend

4: Make well in center of dry ingredients

5: Add sour cream mixture and stir just until blended

6: Spoon batter into prepared dish

7: Bake until cornbread is golden brown and begins to pull away from sides of pan, about 20 minutes

8: Cool slightly

9: Cut into squares

10: Serve warm or at room temperature
