2 : c Sliced almonds (about 8 oz)

0: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
1: Cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla in a mixer bowl
2: Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in another container
3: Add to the butter mixture and blend well
4: Stir in the chocolate chips (or M&Ms) carefully so as not to break them
5: Cover the bowl and refrigerate overnight
6: Scoop out the dough by teaspoonfuls and drop on an ungreased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart
7: Bake until browned (about 8 minutes)
8: Cool slightly then remove onto a rack to cool completely
