0: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1: Combine flour, salt, and baking soda
2: Beat together shortening, sugars and vanilla until creamy
3: Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy
4: Gradually beat in flour mixture and rolled oats

6: Drop batter by well-rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet
7: Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are done
