0: Bring syrup, 1 tablespoon butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon to boil in heavy medium saucepan
1: Boil 2 minutes
2: Whisk eggs, cream, vanilla, 3 tablespoons maple syrup mixture and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon in bowl
3: Place bread slices in large baking dish
4: Pour egg mixture over; turn to coat
5: Pierce bread in several places with fork
6: Let stand 5 minutes
7: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat
8: Add bread and cook until brown, about 3 minutes
9: Add 1 tablespoon butter to skillet
10: Turn over bread and cook until brown, about 3 minutes
11: Transfer to plates
12: Serve with remaining syrup
