1 : c Vanilla wafer crumbs
3/4 : c Soft butter
2 : c Confectioners sugar
2 : Egg yolks
2 : Egg whites
1 : cn (9-oz) crushed pineapple;
-drained : -drained
1/2 : c Pecans or walnuts; chopped
Cherries : Cherries
1 : sm Onion; grated
1 : ts Cooking oil
1/2 : lb Ground beef, lean
1 : ts Salt
1 : ts Cumin
1 : Garlic clove; minced
1/4 : ts Hot sauce; to 1/2 ts.
18 : Tortillas; fresh
2 : c Cheese; shredded
0: Note: (1/2-minute, 2 1/2-minute or 10-minute stovetop cooking) In large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup cereal, undissolved yeast, cheese, salt and sugar
1: Combine hot water and 1 tablespoon olive oil; stir in flour mixture until smooth
2: Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough
3: Knead on floured surface for 6 to 8 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic
4: Cover; let rise for 20 minutes
5: Divide dough into 6 equal pieces; shape each into 16-inch rope
6: Coil 1 rope to form each roll; place on greased baking sheet which has been sprinkled with remaining 1 tablespoon cereal
7: Cover; let rise in warm draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes
8: In small skillet, brown garlic in remaining oil
9: Brush dough with 1 tablespoon oil mixture; sprinkle with oregano
10: Bake at 400?F for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown
11: Brush tops of baked rolls with remaining oil mixture and serve warm
12: Bread Stick Variation: Divide dough into 12 equal pieces
13: Shape each piece into 8-inch rope
14: Repeat procedure as above for rising and baking times
