1 : c Dates
1 : c Grated apples
1 : c Raisins
1/3 : c Oil
1/2 : c Sugar
1 : ds Salt and pepper
1 : Ripe mango; banana or

1: Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, and salt
2: Cut in margarine until mixture resembles course crumbs; stir in fruit
3: Add combined milk and eggs, mixing just until moistened
4: Shape dough to form a ball
5: Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead gently 6 times
6: On lightly greased cookie sheet, pat out dough to form 8-inch circle
7: With sharp knife, score round into 12 wedges
8: ; sprinkle with combined sugar and cinnamon
9: Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown
10: Break apart; serve warm
11: Makes 1 scone with as many wedges as you scored
