2 : tb Matza meal*
1 : c Warm water
8 : c Chicken Broth; salted
2 : lb Spinach; cooked and slightly
-drained : -drained
Freshly : Freshly ground black pepper
4 : Matzot; regular, broken into
-large : -large pieces
1 : ds Nutmeg
2 : 1/ lb Lamb; breast or rib chops
2 : lb Smoked ham; in 1/ inch dice
1 : lb Bulk sausage (Bob Evans)
1 : Onion; chopped finely
1 : c Milk
1 : c Bread crumbs
2 : Eggs; beaten
0: In a blender, whirl eggs, vanilla, syrup, sour cream, sugar, pineapple and milk until smooth
1: Cut bread slices diagonally in half and arrange in a large shallow dish
2: Pour egg-pineapple mixture over bread; briefly, then turn to coat other side
3: In a large frying pan, over medium heat, melt about 2 T of the butter
4: Place a few pieces of soaked bread in pan and cook until browned on the bottom
5: Turn and brown other side
6: Use remaining butter as needed
7: Remove to a warm platter and keep warm in a 200 degree oven until all bread has been cooked
8: Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with shredded coconut
