Oatmeal Banana Bars recipe

Ingredients

8 : c Flour

2 : c Lukewarm milk

1 : /2 c Lukewarm water

1 : Cake household yeast

1 : c Sugar

1 : ts Salt

44 : Eggs (whole; beaten)

1 : c Melted butter or oleo

Directions

3: I changed it to Egg Beaters (or your choice of egg substitute) **NOTE: Original recipe used regular margarine Preheat oven to 350 deg F

4: Using the softened margarine, lightly grease a 9 x 13" baking pan

5: Line pan with wax paper and lightly grease paper

6: Combine oats, flour, sugar, nuts, raisins, baking powder, spices and orange zest in a large bowl; set aside

7: Combine milk, eggs and egg white, margarine and bananas in a blender

8: Process until smooth

9: Add contents of blender to dry ingredients

10: Stir to mix well

11: Spread batter in prepared pan, smoothing top with a spatula

12: Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until edges pull away slightly from sides of pan and top is lightly browned

13: Place pan on a rack to cool and then cut into bars

14: Makes 24 bars

15: Per bar: 132 calories, 6g fat, 1g saturated fat, 18mg cholesterol, 46mg sodium
