2 : c Flour
1/4 : ts Salt
1 : c Soft butter
1 : c Sugar
1 : tb Grated orange peel
5 : Eggs, room temperature
15: Serve warm
0: Add yeast to warm water until dissolved
1: Melt 1/4 cup butter; add peel and juice and heat to lukewarm
2: Add sugar, salt and egg
3: Combine with yeast
4: Add about half the flour and beat until smooth
5: Gradually blend in remaining flour
6: Stir in raisins
7: Turn out onto floured board and knead lightly about 1 minute, just until dough is smooth
8: Place in bowl, brush top with melted butter
9: Cover closely and let rise in warm place about 1 to 1 1/2 hours until double in size
10: Punch down, shape into 24 to 30 small balls
11: Melt 2 tablespoons butter
12: Dip balls in melted butter, then roll in orange sugar and arrange in layers in greased 9" tube pan
13: Let rise about 3/4 to 1 hour, until doubled
14: Bake at 350 F about 1 hour, until golden
