0: Cut bread crosswise into 16 slices

1: Grease 2 large cookie sheets

2: Place bread slices on sheets

3: In a large bowl, beat eggs with half & half, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg until blended

4: Pour mixture over bread in pan, turning slices occasionally to coat both sides and until all mixture is absorbed

5: Preheat oven to 500 degrees

6: Bake 8-10 minutes on each side or until golden brown

7: Sprinkle with powdered sugar
