0: Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, and salt

1: Add brown sugar; cut in shortening with 2 spatulas

2: Add egg and sufficient milk to form a soft dough

3: Add raisins

4: Spread in well-oiled and floured cake tin

5: Pour melted butter over top of cake

6: Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon
