Favorite Phillipine Breakfast recipe

Ingredients

2 : 1/ lb Fresh Fava Beans, in the pod

3 : tb Olive Oil

2 : ts Slivered Garlic

2 : oz Pancetta Cut Into Tiny Dice,

-about : -about 1/3 cup

3/4 : lb Medium Size Shelled Shrimp

1 : pn (Big) Red Chile Flakes

1 : tb Chopped Fresh Savory <<Or>>

2 : tb Chopped Fresh Basil

1/2 : c Ripe Tomato, seeded, diced

2 : ts Grated Lemon Zest

8 : oz Dry Orecchiette Pasta,,

-cooked : -cooked al dente

Rich : Rich Chicken, Shellfish Or

-Vegetable : -Vegetable Stock, if desired

Salt : Salt And Freshly Ground

-Pepper : -Pepper

Directions

0: Heat the oil in wok or fry pan

1: Saute garlic until barely golden

2: Remove garlic and set aside

3: Stir fry rice until hot and well coated with oil

4: Reduce the heat to low while you fry some sunny-side up eggs in another pan

5: Add garlic pieces

6: Serve in bowls with eggs on top

7: Sprinkle on salt

8: NOTES : I make this for my husband using egg substitute and instead of salt I add soy sauce

9: Some hot chili peppers spices it up nicely too

10: It does make a nice breakfast or lunch served with some turkey bacon or sausage
