0: Combine pears, raisins, nuts and lemon peel

1: Set aside

2: Dissolve yeast in warm water

3: Beat in egg, biscuit mix and 2 tablespoons sugar

4: Turn out on a floured surface

5: Knead about 20 times

6: Roll into a 16x9-inch rectangle

7: Spread with butter

8: Spoon set aside pear mixture evenly over dough

9: Sprinkle with remaining 4 tablespoons sugar

10: Roll up, starting with the long end

11: Pinch seam together to seal

12: Place roll, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet

13: Shape into a ring, overlapping the ends

14: Make cuts, 2/3 way into ring, at 1-inch intervals, and turn each section on its side

15: Cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour

16: Bake at 375 degrees (F) for 15 to 20 minutes

17: Spread with hot glaze while still warm

18: Ginger Glaze: combine all ingredients in saucepan

19: Bring to a boil

20: Simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently

21: Spoon while hot over warm ring
