Directions

0: Mix dry ingredients

1: Add margarine and mix well

2: Add the syrup and enough milk to make a loose dough

3: Turn onto a floured board and knead until smooth

4: Roll out into a square with a thickness of about 3/4 inch

5: Cut dough in half, then into quarters and then to eights

6: Bake on a lightly floured baking sheet at 400F for approximately 20 minutes

7: Cool on a wire rack

8: Split and serve with whole fruit preserves
