Directions

0: Dissolve yeast in waterIn large bowl, combine yeast, sugar, salt butter, egg, milk and 2 cups flour

1: Beat with spoon until mixed

2: Gradually add flour until dough can be handled

3: Knead 5 minutes or until elastic

4: Grease bowl, cover douch with plastic, let rise 1 1/4 hour in warm place

5: Meanwhile,prepare filling

6: Melt butter in small saucepan

7: Add onions, and saute until just tender (5 minutes) Combine cheese, poppy seed,and garlic salt,set both mixtures aside

8: When dough has risen, punch down, and place on floured work surface

9: Divide in 2

10: Roll each piece into a square 12"x12"

11: Spoon half of fillings on each piece of dough

12: Spread, roll up like jelly roll,seal

13: Place loaves ,seam side down, on French bread pan

14: Cover and rise 45 minutes, or until doubled in bulk

15: Uncover, bake in preheated 350 F oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden
