Strawberry Scones recipe

Ingredients

6 : Eggs, lightly beaten

1 : c Milk

1 : Stick butter, melted

1 : lb Small curd cottage cheese

1 : lb Monterey jack cheese,

-shredded : -shredded

1 : c Bisquick® baking mix

16 : Pieces white bread; crusts

-trimmed : -trimmed

1 : lb Bulk sausage; crumbled,

-browned, : -browned, and drained, (add

-some : -some finely diced onion to

-sausage : -sausage while browning, if

-you : -you like)

4 : oz Monterey Jack cheese;

-shredded : -shredded

4 : oz Sharp cheddar cheese;

-shredded : -shredded

1 : sm Can mild; diced, green

-chilies : -chilies

Directions

0: Preheat oven to 425 degrees strawberries cut into 1/2 inch pieces-set aside

1: In large bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt

2: Add butter

3: With pastry blender or 2 knives cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs

4: Stir in reserved strawberries; toss well to coat

5: Add milk all at once

6: With fork, lightly toss together until mixture holds together

7: With floured hands gently form into ball

8: On floured board with floured rolling pin roll out dough 1/2 inch thick

9: Cut dough into 2 1/2 inch circles with floured biscuit cutter

10: Place on greased cookie sheet

11: Bake until golden, about 12 minutes; serve warm with whipped cream
